About

I am a PhD candidate currently based at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Nanjing University, where my academic work lies at the intersection of human geography, urban agglomeration studies, spatial transformation, and smart city development. My research is grounded in critical urban theory and seeks to explore how technological shifts and socio-spatial restructuring processes are reshaping the form, function, and governance of contemporary cities, particularly in the context of rapid digitalization and regional integration.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Analysis from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and a Master’s degree in Informatics from Northeastern University in the United States. Following my graduate studies, I worked as a Data Coordinator at the Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC), where I was engaged in national-level data management and coordination.
Currently, my research examines the spatial implications of emergent technologies, such as artificial intelligence, on urban-regional transformation. I am particularly interested in how urban agglomerations adapt to technological shifts and demographic changes, and how concepts such as spatial justice, governance decentralization, and platform urbanism can inform more equitable and resilient urban futures. Through both empirical and theoretical approaches, my work aims to contribute to critical debates on urban restructuring, spatial inequality, and the future of urban planning in the AI era.
